Versatile station that communicates to a nearby Master via LoRa.
This station is suitable for locations where there is no connectivity nearby. In that case, the weather station can send data 600 meters away to a Master sensor that has a 2G/3G/4G modem.
On a fully charged battery the station averages multiple measurements into one, every 15 minutes, and transmits that to the Master sensor. The Master sensor then uploads them every 2 hours.
- GPS - If included, the sensor is able to know its location once a week. In the future a software might enable the GPS sensors, to be more location aware.
- Memory types
- For the Basic memory sensor, the data is retained onto the sensor's on-board memory for a few days. If farm connectivity is good, the sensor will have plenty of time to upload the data. If connectivity is patchy, the data might be lost if the sensor cant get any connection for more than 3-5 days.
- The Extended memory sensor (coming Q3 2019), stores all its data on its dedicated memory hence it can withstand longer periods of connectivity gaps.
*In the future, in conjuction with the Pulse sensor, and the Pycno Soil sensor, these devices can be remotely programmed to talk with each other and actuate devices in the field. We are looking for beta testers to join our tests in Q3-Q4 2019
